The committee of this group meets every six months to plan walks for the future.
The walks are held monthly and are normally around 5 miles long followed by an optional pub lunch. We try to keep the walks as local to Chandlers Ford as possible to avoid lengthy trips by car but we do encourage car sharing. For people wishing to car share we meet outside Andersons in Hiltingbury Road. Cars can be parked in Nichol Road or the car park at Hiltingbury Rec. The details of the walk are available at the monthly meeting or by contacting the walk leader. Walkers are asked to contact the walk leader beforehand to let him/her know that they will be going and whether they would like lunch.
As far as the weather is concerned, unless conditions are obviously unsuitable we meet as normal and the leader will make the decision whether to go ahead, we have been very lucky and has a walk rarely been cancelled.
It was agreed from the outset that no dogs would be allowed on the walks.
