The Health Affairs Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm in the Cloister Lounge at St Boniface. There is a contribution of £1 to pay for the hire of the room. At each meeting we have a speaker who tells us about some aspect of healthcare.
Over the two years the group has been established we have covered a wide variety of topics including Alzheimer’s, Genetics and Arthritis and our speakers have included the Chief Executive of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
However, with the tightening of budgets in the NHS it is becoming more difficult to find speakers who are able to spare the time to come to speak to us. Suggestions for speakers are therefore always welcome as would be offers of help with planning.
