We meet in each others houses on the 1st Friday of the month, from 10am-12noon. We usually watch a video or DVD about a chosen artist or subject then discuss what we’ve seen and heard. Sometimes members prepare a presentation about a subject of particular interest to them, eg. Lowry; modern commercial artists; symbolism.
Occasionally we visit local galleries or take a trip to London to an art exhibition. Most of us started with very little knowledge but are enjoying learning in an informal, relaxed way and are sometimes surprised to find just how much we have learned.
